Breaker Hill WIND FARM

Visiting a wind farm

All wind farms are publically accessible by foot or bicycle in Scotland, although there may be restrictions to protect the public whilst they are being constructed.

Whitelee Wind Farm, located approximately half-way between Kilmarnock and East Kilbride, has a visitor centre with a café, toilets, facilities for visiting parties, such as schools and provides talks and events to inform visitors about renewable energy and the ecology of the wind farm area.  The visitor centre is open from 10am to 5pm, seven days a week from March to November.
