South Ayrshire Council will determine the planning application after considering comments from a variety of bodies including Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH), Historic Scotland and RSPB as well as those of other interested organisations, local groups and individuals.
It is hoped that South Ayrshire Council will determine the application within the statutory 16 weeks after its submission.
Construction (if consented) : 30th Jun 2012
Should the application be consented it would be hoped that construction work would begin on site within a year. The wind farm would take approximately 9 to 12 months to construct.
Wind farm generating electricity : 30th Jun 2012
Once the wind farm is built, the turbines will then be connected to the grid and all electrical systems tested. When it is confirmed that everything is in order and operating effectively the wind farm would start generating electricity and exporting it to the grid.
