Predicted view of the Breaker Hill Wind Farm from Balligmorrie

This website has been set up to be an ongoing source of information for the community and other stakeholders about the proposed Breaker Hill Wind Farm near Pinwherry and Colmonell.

The proposed Breaker Hill Wind Farm would consist of 15 x 99m tall turbines and have a minimum total installed capacity of 19.5MW. Each year these turbines would generate as much electricity as is used by almost 11,000 UK homes. Thousands of tonnes of carbon dioxide would be offset by replacing electricity generated via conventional, fossil fuel burning power stations. Further details of the electricity production and carbon dioxide offset can be found on our 'Facts & Figures' page.

This site is updated with key documents, findings and images as they become available.  Are you in favour of the wind farm or do you have questions or concerns?  Please let us know,

The Breaker Hill Wind Farm is being developed by Alpha Wind Prospect Limited (a joint venture between Wind Prospect Developments Ltd and Alpha Wind).
